Location: Glamorgan Added: 04/09/2010 Price: £ 500.00 Manufacturer: Other Berths: 3 Year: 1983 Specification Includes: Description: Here we have for sale our much loved Sprite Compact pop-top caravan `Sydney` Due to some changes we are reluctantly having to sell her,But I`m sure she will go to someone that will love her as much as we do. She is a 1983 Ci Sprite compact pop-top and weighs less than 700kg unladen. The past year she has benefited from 2 new tyres plus spare,new curtains,carpet and upholstery and a new hitch/coupling to. She comes with a full awning,an older canvas type but in fairly good condition and still very useable also included are curtains,pegs and mallet. Previous owners used her sink but we always used the campsite washing facilities.Full Whale pumps etc.. will be supplied all new and unused,Also waste and water containers. She has a working 3 way fridge,although 12v untested as we don`t have a leisure battery. Prior to us owning her she was rewired with new 240v electrics. She is a dream to tow as her lower towing height makes it alot easier and saves a few pounds on fuel to! She is a 3 berth with a standard sized double bed at one end and a single at the other,The fitting are still above the single bed if you wish to make her back into a 4 berth. She is spotlessly clean inside you will not be dissapointed :) We have enjoyed many a happy family holiday in her the last being a mammoth 6 weeks over the summer hols in Cornwall!! our little family of three were most comfortable,)please note Sydney has no gas heater we always used a 2kw fan heater,and were super toastie warm all the time) NOW A FEW BAD POINTS The gas assisted props on Sydneys windows do not work as they should anymore,but they open and close pefectly well and we will supply you with our 2 wooden props that we used,This is not a bad point really but we feel we should let you know. We had some problems with her rear lights over easter so we cut the lead that plugged into the car and put a lighting board on the rear which works great,we have been told its an easy fix if you wish to do so,we will supply you with the lighting board which cost us over £20 a few months ago. The bottom half of her door sustained some minor water damage (not damp) so we stuck on another piece of wood to make it easier on the eye. She has a few condensation water marks behind curtains,nothing major and its not damp! Her floors nice and solid and shows no signs of delamination. And finally Sydney sprung a leak over the summer holidays,We think it could be coming from the skylight that the previous owners fitted.She would benefit from a reseal ... again for someone in the know or quite simply a handy man type person (which is what we are not)...its a quick,cheap and simple fix,We draped tarpaulin over her to stop any more coming in... please don`t let this put you off this stunning little caravan,She is ready to hitch up and go away for many more happy holidays!! please feel free to ask any questions :) I can email you pictures if needed no problem :) Telephone: No phone number entered Ad by UKCS Member: HappyCamper2004 (Private Sale) Contact the seller by email: |
